PRINCE FIELDER NAMED N.L. PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Prince Fielder, who hit
13 home runs and collected 28 RBI, has been voted the
Sharp Presents the National League Player of the Month for May.

Fielder entered today’s action leading the National League with
19 home runs. He recorded two multi-home run games and seven
multi-RBI games in the month of May. Prince batted .321 (34-106),
with a .755 slugging percentage and a .397 on-base percentage.
The lefty slugger ranks second in the N.L. with 44 RBI, 133 total
bases, and a .621 slugging percentage. This is Prince’s first
career National League Player of the Month Award.

Other players receiving votes included Brewers’ teammate J.J. Hardy
who hit .325 with nine home runs and 29 RBI.
